The Nifty was down 332.25.0 points, or 1.35 percent, at 24,336 at the closing, while the Sensex was down 1,064.120 points, or 1.30 percent, at 80,684.45.0
According to NSE ( National Stock Exchange) provisional data, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net purchased shares worth Rs 2,706 crore, while foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth Rs 6,410 crore.
During the trading day, FIIs bought shares worth Rs 15,558 crore while selling stocks worth Rs 21,968 crore, and DIIs bought shares worth Rs 11,997 crore and sold shares worth Rs 9,290 crore. FIIs have sold shares for a net total of Rs 2.94 lakh crore this year, while DIIs have purchased shares for a net total of Rs 5.82 lakh crore.
