Akshaya Tritiya 2025: Gold & Silver ETF Volumes Surge 3X to ₹644 Crore, Nippon MF Leads Market
Akshaya Tritiya 2025 witnessed a record-breaking surge in gold and silver exchange-traded fund (ETF) investments, with total traded volumes skyrocketing 2.9 times to ₹644 crore compared to ₹224 crore last year. Investors flocked to ETFs as a convenient alternative to physical gold and silver, avoiding storage concerns while benefiting from liquidity and transparency. Nippon India Mutual Fund dominated the market, commanding 63% of total ETF volumes, with its Gold BeES and Silver BeES funds leading the charge. Gold ETFs saw a total traded volume of ₹331 crore, with Nippon India Gold BeES accounting for ₹172 crore (52% market share), while silver ETFs recorded ₹313 crore, with Nippon India Silver BeES capturing ₹232.5 crore (74% market share).
