Extension of the due date for filing income tax returns for the fiscal year 2024-25
Subject: Representation Related to:
(1) Incorrect interpretation of relief under section 87A in respect of assessees having income taxable at special rate of income tax by utility on the Income Tax Portal as well as by the Helpdesk
(2) Issues with the operation of the Income Tax Portal and updates in AIS / TIS, as well as a request for an extension of the due date for filing Income Tax Returns for AY 2024-25 from July 31, 2024 to August 31, 2024.
