Ministries have been instructed by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) to make sure that all central government workers who are covered by NPS take use of their right to benefits under any pension plan. Under the Central Civil Services (Implementation of National Pension System) Rules, 2021, they are required to make sure that Rule 10’s stipulations are strictly followed.
