In Short:The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country’s central bank, has formally announced the dates for the early redemption of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) issued between May 2017 and May 2020 in an effort to give investors early liquidity options. The central bank intends to redeem 30 tranches of these bonds between October 11, 2024, and February 7, 2025, in an effort to give investors early liquidity options. The RBI allows investors to submit requests within a 20-day window, with the redemption amount released within 10 days. The RBI calculates redemption prices based on the price of gold over the last three working days.
