Unfair for commuters to pay tolls on poorly maintained highways’: HC orders NHAI to cut toll fee by 80%

The J&K and Ladakh High Court ordered the NHAI to reduce toll at two plazas on the Pathankot-Udhampur highway due to construction and poor road conditions. The court directed NHAI to only collect 20% of the toll until the highway is fully operational. The court also emphasized the unfairness of charging full toll for deteriorated roads.
