Sensex Updates: BSE Touch 80000 – Check top flexi cap mutual funds that have given 15% to 20% over 15 years.
The BSE Sensex, India’s market indicator, reached 80,000 for the first time on July 3. Since its inception in April 1979, the Price Return Index (PRI) form of the 30-stock index has returned 15.9 percent compounded annually.
The Indian market has historically rewarded long-term investment. Equity mutual funds, too, have rewarded long-term unitholders with significant gains. Here is a list of flexicap mutual funds that generated up to 20% annualized returns on 15-year systematic investment plans (SIPs). The strength of compounding and rupee cost averaging benefits long-term SIP participants. Please keep in mind that past performance is not always indicative of future outcomes. (Data from ACEMF).
